I have an s13 ka24de in my 97 s14. It's been running great but today I ran it to back out of my garage. Noticed it started up kind of weak, so I let it run, shut it off, and tried starting it back up. Now I'm getting this loud buzzing/clicking sound and the engine won't crank. Maybe thought I was out of fuel, but after filling up I'm still getting this problem. Is it the battery? Starter? I don't think it's a problem with timing or anything because it literally was just running great. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When you say loud clicking what do you mean as in like dead battery clicking or?

In other words is the clicking constant when you turn the ignition

NVM! Found the problem... Bad starter, threw in a friend's and it worked like a charm. Also probably because the one I had was held on by one bolt...

Same thing happened when I swapped trannys easy mistake!
