constant power problem

so right when i hook up the battery, my safc and all my cluster dummy lights come on and stay on until i unhook the battery, i even unplugged the ignition switch plug and they still stay on, anyone have any idea whats wrong

you have a short....start unplugging fuses until the lights turn off.... that will tell you where the power is comming from....then just trace and look for the short

look at a wiring diagram and look at what that fuse powers....the easiest way to find the short is to plug the fuse back in and unplug connectors on that circuit, eventually you will unplug a connector and the power will go away, then you can look at the wiring past that connector for the short, thats the simplest way to narrow the short down.\

what year is the car?

the problem's in your lower harness. use the lower harness that came with your car, or rewire your new lower harness so it's correct for your year/original transmission set up.

well i got it taken care of, i took the harness off my old car and it works fine

the samething was happening to me when a while back. The prongs on my lower harness alternator plug were bent and not connecting right to the body harness.
