transmission stuck

so i was at a drift event this evening and after a turn i was quickly changing gears and i guess it got stuck in second gear. except its in neutral...

it wont come out of the gear, even when the ignition is off.
a mechanic that is very good, said it could be the "coin selector" (at least thats what it sounded like he said)

can i finish fix this problem by tomorrow for the second part of the event?

does anyone have any visual aids that can help me out?

thanks,
Greg
