I'm planning on going turbo. So my question is can I make 300HP with this setup and an Enthalpy tune.
Turbo: T25/T28 .64Ar (some aftermarket brand. not oem)
Injectors:550cc
Maf:z32
Thank You for any input

Short answer; absolutely not going to happen on a t25 but you don't seem to know what turbo it is?

Look at other builds on here and other sites that have your hp goals and see how they accomplished it.

Just remember to use quality parts and get a good tune.

That's a question for you to answer. There is no difference. Can you afford not driving the car with the motor in it?

True. I have another car I could drive in the meantime but it would probably just be better to start from scratch to avoid that

From personal experience... if you wanna build a motor... I'd find a spare one. They can be found dirt cheap.

Why would you want to use a cast manifold? Is is because of the lower cost of them?

Because they don't crack, usually. Turbo placement is often better than the majority of tubular manifolds.

I have a modified sr20 cast manifold with a ka flange for sale. Its a bottom mount. As KA-T said go cast no cracking ever.

Research the sr20 manifolds being used on Ka's its great for a stealth setup.

Hey. So if any of you have any advice that would be great. Just finished replacing the headgasket on my ka24det. Now the engine wont start unless you pump the gas while turning the key. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check distributor, check injectors, check maf. You sure the timing chains are in the correct position?

Just double check everything and I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Hey I'm a newb who needs help.

What are some good sites for KA24DE parts, Do you know of any good turbo kits for it and what would you suggest for an upgrade path, I already have new wheels and summer tires as well as coilovers and I upgraded my brakes.

I have an obd1 95 Nissan 240sx with a stock ka24de installed. No wideband as of yet, just the 02 sensor. (Wanted to learn the basics before adding the turbo system)

AEM CAS Trigger disk installed.

Here's the deal, I'm using the calibration file that matches the number that's on the sticker on the EMS.
The car barley starts and runs VERY VERY rich, won't rev smooth ,and by that I mean it studders while revving sometimes, other times it rev's a little better but still not as good as stock. If left idling it will idle low, around 500-700 rpms and will randomly stall out maybe in 1 minutes or 30 seconds. Its random.

If i rev, black smoke. If I hold my hand in front of the exhaust, its covered in black soot particles in seconds.

Obviously there is way to much fuel. However on the base map shouldn't this run the car somewhat normally?

I have plugged the stock ecu back into the car and it runs 100% stock.

All sensors are connected, Stock MAF, Stock TPS,, Stock CTS, Stock 02,.. etc

Is it because the aem needs a wideband and the 02 sensor voltage is throwing it off?

I can't set timing on the aem to the car because it won't stay running long enough with the base map. I have tried ALL the relative stock calibrations for this car, only one starts it.

I also have tried this with the aem ems throttle position settings synced to the car and the way the base map came.

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!

Really looking forward to your response.

Thank you.

You jumped into the deep end.
You need a wideband to trim the fat from the fuel table. Base maps are usually a very rough tune. Unless some other value is also changed effecting the ecus interpretation of fueling

I just did my Kat with a t4. It wasn't running or idling smoothly and would cut at 4k rpm. Thought it was my tune but ended up being my pump. Big shout out to garage life in elmonte. I thought it Was going to cost me 500 for a dyno tune which was a great deal but they were honest and installed aem fuel pump instead. Thanks for the savings!

Hi there, I am looking for a place to dyno tune my 89 240sx KA24DET.
Live in Drummondville, will never return to Total tuning again as I was not pleased with the service last year. I am having a hard time getting a hold of Robin Almasi ( I think he goes to China until late spring early summer ).
Is there anyone else that that is good in Montreal area.
Thanks in advance.

Hey guys. I was wondering if you can offer any help on my friend's ka24det. We're having problems with the afr's at WOT. When you first step on it it goes to 9 then it gradually goes up to high 12s-13 and stays there. What do you guys think is the problem?

I went through this on my Ka-t and it was pretty terrible. It would go way too rich in the low end, then lean out. I turned up the fuel map thinking it was tune related, but really my fuel pump was just dead and couldn't keep up. The first thing to do is figure out whether this is a tuning issue or something related to the actual mechanical engine. What are you using to tune?

Enthalpy ecu. Just replaced the fpr with a tomei thinking it would help. No change.

Could be a faulty maf sensor. Are you sure the injectors and maf match the tune also?

You can measure the signal to make sure it's in the right range at idle. Obviously swapping it out is an option but that could cost money. Does the car idle at the right afr?
