Exclamation FS: LSX s13 coupe

Well I believe I've decided to sell this to move on to some other toys.

Pretty much I picked up the shell and built it from the ground up, so I can answer practically anything about it, so on to the car.

It's a 92 240sx s13 coupe, mileage on the shell isn't exactly known but it's obviously up there. It has a 02 Silverado 5.3 LM7 w/ ~60k miles on the motor with an 01 Camaro T56 6 speed behind it.

-92 240sx s13 coupe, clean & clear title

12/9/11 EDIT: 02 zo6 cam, springs and pushrods were installed as well as a SLP 25% underdrive pulley. New coolant and oil as well as AMSOIL ATF fluid in the trans. New FLCA's with balljoints and bushing were installed and Energy suspension Tension Rod bushings. New glass was put in so the tint is not pealing and the driver door was realigned so that it shuts now. I just purchased a Dakota Digital so that the speedo will work and will be wiring that in this week! New Federal 595's 235/40/18 were put on the fronts. The exhaust setup was changed from the old sagging HKS hi-power to a 3" inline dynomax muffler.

MOTOR, TRANS & ANYTHING UNDER THE HOOD!

-5.3 LM7, runs strong, no smoke, no knocking or ticking
-01 T56 6 speed, grind downshifting to 4th
-LS6 intake manifold
-LS6 Throttle body
-LS6 Fuel rails & injectors
-NGK TR55 Plugs
-Brand new plug wires
-Camaro accessories (PS pump/bracket, ALT/bracket, Waterpump, tensioner)
-1 3/4" Daft Innovations Long Tube Headers, Custom 3" Ypipe, HKS hi power catback. (NO CATS)
-Brand new Battery
-3.5" straight intake with 3.5" K&N filter
-Daft Innovations s13 LSX Mounting Kit
-Wilwood Clutch Master Cylinder w/ Daft Innovation adapter plate
-C5 Vette fuel filter setup w/ Stainless braided 6an fuel line
-BRAND NEW Power steering rack
-C5 Vette o2 sensors
-Stock LS1 Clutch setup
-Stock LS1 Flywheel (resurfaced)
-Short throw shifter (to keep from hitting the 240sx shifter trim)
-Brand new OEM Slave Cylinder
-Daft Innovations s13 steel driveshaft
-J30 diff
-Aluminum Radiator
-Dual E-fans
-C5 Corvette Fuel Rail Covers (Clean up the engine bay a ton)

SUSPENSION, BRAKES, WHEELS & TIRES

-Megan Street Coilovers (s13)
-5 lug swap
-New rotors and brake pads
-New steering rack
-New tie rods (outer and inner)
-Daft Innovations Sway Bar Spacers
-18x9.5 +12, 18x10.5 +15 Varrstoen 2.2.2 Full Polish Wheels
-235/40/18 Yokohama Advan Sports (60% tread) , 265/35/18 Federal 595's (90% tread left)

BODY

-Painted a titanium silverish color, not quite sure how to explain it.
-Origin Type 1 30mm rear overfenders (molded)
-Stock Silvia metal fenders
-Stock Silvia front bumper
-Stock Silvia Dual Projector headlights
-OEM Silvia Headlight Brackets
-Smoked Corner Lights
-Smoked Bumper turn signals
-Carbon Fiber silvia stock style hood
-Tinted Windows

INTERIOR

-7/10 dash, it has two cracks that I will post pictures of. It's clean otherwise
-S14 Gray cloth front seats, no rips or tears, great condition
-S13 black rear seats
-Brand new molded S13 black carpet
-Brand new headunit, works great, not sure of the brand off the top of my head
-RPM, Gas & temp gauge work. Speedo will work when you wire in a Digital Dakota Box
-Power windows
-Heat works, A/c could work if you want to get LS to 240sx lines made for it and do the wiring

Honestly, there is probably a ton of little things that i've forgot to mention through out all the stuff that I have mentioned so far. Anything you want to know about the car I will tell you, i'm not trying to hide anything about any of it so I will go ahead and list the cons...

-No a/c
-CEL stays on due to the long tube headers and placement of the o2 sensors. It's just an o2 slow response code.
-Gas door isn't 100% flush
-No front speakers, rear's only
-Gutted Trunk (If that even matters to you)
-The LS PCM lays in the floor board of the passenger side, if you can find a place to stick it out of sight... more power to you.
-Paint job is by no means superior, but it is all one color, definitely could use a new paint job.
-Carbon fiber hood is flimsy, could use hood pins to fix this.
-Small popping in front left suspension when turning right occasionally.

That's really the only things that come to mind when I think of negatives of this car but feel free to point out anything else you disagree with.

Now on to the pictures.....

Now a few pictures from the build process,

I WILL CONTINUE TO POST UP SO NEW PICTURES OF THE CAR, IF THERE IS ANY SPECIFIC PICTURE THAT YOU'D LIKE TO SEE, LET ME KNOW!

Because the LM7 shares the same design of the LSX, minus the fact that it's iron. The physical dimensions, bolt holes, ect.. it's an all interchangeable design all based from the LSX setup. Thanks for the question though.

Well it has more torque in the lower rpm's and produces the torque quicker, therefore it will spin if you really want it to.

Maybe another 3/4" in the front and another 1" in the back... but I still haven't rolled or pulled my fenders and I wouldn't say that I'm rushing to get to it. Maybe one day.

Also, I'm installing and 02 zo6 cam, ls6 yellow springs and ls6 pushrods, as well as a SLP 25% underdrive pulley, then will be getting retuned and maybe even dyno tuned. I will update this with further information when it happens.

No one still has the yellow "Made in Germany" springs anymore. They only have the blue "Made in Mexico" springs. These are still good, and come stock on the LS3 C6 and Camaro. I have them in my C5, rev to 7k, and have no problems.

BTW, when you do this job, make sure to get the Proform LS Valve spring compressor. It makes the job very easy, you can do two springs at once. It costs about $70, and is well worth it. Also, don't use an air holder. Just take 1/4" nylon rope. Put it in the cylinder through the spark plug hole, and turn the engine until it stops. It holds the valves perfectly, and takes way less time than that stupid air holder. Not to mention, I could never get the air holder to actually get a good seal and hold the valve.
