For reliability, I would do no more than 330HP on the wheels max (prob near 400 on crank like other person said). While Nissan made these VQ engines strong, the weakest link is the rings. Even the 370z engine are hitting over 400hp on stock engine w/ sc or turbo, but literally fall into pieces after around 20,000 miles.

Were never planning to get that type of cylinder pressure, feel less comfortable with the factory connecting rod setup to be completely honest. Thanks for the info though

nice work for your power levels you would be much happier with a 6266 it still has plenty left on the table above you power goals but will spool better. people are making over 600 on the vq35 with it. expect power in the 850 range mayby 900 with the right setup using the 6766.

also the weak link on the vq35de is definitly the rods, the de tends to bend rods around 450 to the rear wheels. never ever heard of broken rings or rings lands.....

nearly everyone on the major 350z board who is running FI is making more then 330 to the rear on stock blocks and a significant number of them are 380 or more.

anyway i was running 10 psi with a precision 6765 before the built engine and is ridiculous, now with the built engine i hit 20 psi about 4800 without boost by speed setup in the haltech the 6766 will spool slightly quicker 1st 2nd and 3rd are useless without some more tuning to the boost by speed, also need to step up to 305 tires in the rear over the 285's i currently have.

you will have immense fun when your done though.

Thanks for the input, we were working with that frame for potential power levels and also a larger frame in T4 to maximize the small amount of space.

Should have some stock block dyno info shortly, the cars currently getting it's fuel system plumbed.

kit looks nice. coming along quite well. any plan of doing a setup for the g35? not sure if the g has more or less room for plumbing but, i would think there wouldn't be too much of a difference. the guys over at g35driver.com would love a kit like this. many are going with sc kits for the fact of simplicity. this would be a great alternative for the guys wanting boost from a kit that doesn't require engine removal.

anyway, keep up the nice work. looking forward to updates.

The G35 doesn't have a ton of differences but I have only been developing with the Z chassis so far. With some slight modifications to the intercooler plumbing it should be pretty straight forward though.

Thanks, i'll be sure to update when it gets to dyno time

Id be seriously interested depending on price. I was personally leaning towards a SC setup in a few months but reading this has me possibly changing my mind.

yah i know not a whole lot of space under then mine mounts slightly behind the transmission the hardest part is a charge pipe going past the steering knuckle. but dont wanna go into to much detail since my kit is from a competing vendor from another forum.

the pipe length is very short so will definitly help with spool, even shorter then mine and far far shorter then the crazy long ass pipe front mount set ups.
