Formula Drift ASD/Falken Tires Nissan 350z Drift Chassis for SALE

ASD/Falken Tires Nissan 350z Drift Chassis for SALE - $25,000

Please read full post for description of what is included with the car. If you have any questions feel free to ask. No trades. Price is firm.

This is your chance to own a piece of drifting history. This is the ASD/Falken tires built Nissan 350z chassis. The only pieces modified on the chassis since, driven by Tyler Mcquarrie, are roll cage fabrication updated to meet current FD rules and specifications and currently no front bash bar.

NO ENGINE
NO WIRING

Here is a great write-up on the in-house fabrication that takes place at ASD.

http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/05/...cars-are-born/

These are pictures taken from the article. The car is no longer this color (currently Battleship Grey) and roll cage fabrication was changed to meet Formula Drift specifications.

Here is a quote regarding the extensive amount of time and attention to detail that goes into each of these cars:

“These chassis have over 1,000-1,200 hours of work put into them, depending on customer*requirements, which includes the*installation*of a Formula Drift-spec roll-cage.”

After the chassis was raced a few seasons it was REBUILT from ground up by ASD. The chassis was reinforced and repainted. The owner, Ian Stewart had plans of using it for a demo car. After much consideration, he felt as though his loyalty was to the Ford Racing program, and he decided to sell the car in late 2013. This is when I purchased the car and prepped it for my 2014 Formula Drift rookie year.

This car was then driven and on only 8 occasions. NEVER WRECKED. Two of these were FD Miami and FD New Jersey. Unfortunately, I could not continue on with the season after these two races. After having some engine troubles, it has been pulled and parted out and I no longer have a use for this chassis.

Here is a short video from a run at Wall, NJ. Car is amazing to drive. The chassis feels solid. The suspension and steering components compliment the chassis and make it easy to stick it where you want it to go!

Pretty sure FD drivers wanting to spend 25k on a "shell" aren't browsing zilvia. I can see how all the work done on it is costly but this isn't really the audience for it. Glws

With a shell like this the market is so thin there are not many potential buyers for something like this so you either have to loose your ass on it or sit on it and hope you get a decent price before it becomes outdated

Running and driving I could see it fetching $25,000+

Not hating one bit, as it's a nice piece, and I don't doubt that it isn't built right.

Thanks for the tips, guys!

Decided to do some body work, new paint, and put an LS back into it before trying to sell it again.

Thanks for the encouragement! The moving parts on the car and the fab work are truly a work of are, but i can understand that it is hard to pay this much money for something that doesn't run and has beat up paint.

I just fired up the new engine I swapped in this past weekend. New style of body panels (which is basically the complete car haha) go to paint and it should be fully assembled in a few weeks and tested in a month of so. I will try again after that!
