SOHC to DOHC
I'm doing a DOHC swap soon I was told I need to change the power steering lines. Is that true? 89 coupe SOHC throwing in a 92 DOHC from my other coupe.

Yes, you will have to change the lines out for DOHC lines. The power steering pump and reservoir is on the driver side on DOHC engines so your SOHC high pressure line will not work.
Please use this thread in the future for simple questions like this. http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=297481 Here are links to 3 different SOHC to DOHC swap guides that should contain the answers to any further questions about the swap. Its very easy. http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=33502 http://forums.nicoclub.com/ka24e-to-...p-t162443.html http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/s1...-dohc-f-q.html As for the lines, you can use the OEM lines from your DOHC car or upgrade to a kit like these if you never want to deal with leaks again. http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=590060 https://www.chasebays.com/product/ni...r-nissan-240sx |
