Will a JDM S14 Kouki Front Bumper Alone Fit On a S14 Zenki?
Hello, I recently purchased a JDM S14 Kouki front bumper and I was wondering would it work with the Zenki headlights, hood, grill, fenders, and bumper reinforcement? I was reading what was needed for the whole front-end conversion, but I was wondering if I could get by for now (no money for the whole conversion yet) with just the JDM front bumper on, and maybe the kouki bupmer reinforcement. And, would the new bumper line up with the Zenki fenders? I've searched but can't really find the exact answer. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

With enough money, you could make anything fit. Bodyshops could modify the front bumper to mount on. It'll look weird though, kouki bumper with zenki lines.

that looks like one of the GP sports aftermarket bumpers, really u should not try to hack up an oem bumper to make it find on a zenki, it can be done but for the same amount of money you could have had a GP sports or BN sports (both have kouki look) aftermarket bumper and also ruined a perfectly nice oem bumper...look at the lines of the Oen kouki bumper and see that it doesnt line up at all.

I have the same valence, they are OEM/nissan factory items in japan that you buy from the nissan dealer. Cost new is about 380$/ used about 200-300$. Why the new ones are so much because they can be ordered/ come painted in any S14 Kouki color code like most other accesory items like grills.
They require a kouki rear bumper cover to mount properly.

yes, to mount that specific type or rear valence can only be mounted on Kouki rear bumper, just look at it closely in the picture: that is a kouki bumper and the valences jaunt out on the bumpers lip. Thus using the standard s14 USA-market (same as zenki) bumper it wouldnt line up and leave a space where the kouki bumper curves in and then jaunts out.
observe picture A good rear valence for the stock 240sx/ zenki bumper is the OEM one u see sometimes on Aero package zenki s14 or Bomex (both look similar to me: OEM http://www.jspec.com/s14rearvalence.html BOMEX http://www.bomex.co.jp/item_img/20521320001.jpg

Ok, so I recieved the front bumper today. Its in really good condition considering its already painted factory pearl white for only $262 shipped. Anyway, I'm going to try to make it fit, but if its too difficult, I'll leave it alone. EVen if it does fit, I can't drive with it on just yet because is it didn't come with the bumper l;enses. I could rewire my corners to blink if needed, but I can wait to order the correct lenses. JSPEC is asking for $150 shipped for them (amber), do you guys know anywhere else I can get them? Rare-trick has the MSport clear ones for $80 + shipping, but I really prefer the amber ones. I'll keep you guys posted on the fitment, just let me know any other places to shop at.

Does anyone have any photos of the s14 kouki ks front bumper on a zenki front end? I know I seen it before on zenkis unite a long time ago in the threads. I just thought a reference photo here would be a great way to tie up this thread for the inquisitive.
Found it Last edited by Ryosuke Takahashi; 06-14-2017 at 08:56 AM.. Reason: finally a reference photo |
