Tomorrow should be awesome. Really excited to see what AMD announces and when it will be available. I'm ready to jump ship and never look back.
As for that whole nVidia to support freesync thing, I think it makes them look like shady dick heads. Why not just allow everyone to use it if they have a freesync monitor? Why do they find it necessary to "test" monitors and see what is up to their standard before enabling the feature that should already be there? Only good thing that will come from this is someone will mess with the driver and make it use-able on all freesync monitors which will be fantastic. Looking forward to enabling it on my monitor for sure. EDIT: JK, apparently nVidia will support all freesync monitors, but only will "certify" specific models.

I travel to Asia a lot and I wanted to have a portable gaming rig.
Here ya go. Case: NFS Skyreach 4 Mini Processor: Intel i7 8700 Graphics: GTX 1070 Mini 8gb Ram: 16gb DDR4 Ram SSD: Samsung 970 Pro NVME 512gb raid 0 Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z370-I Power Supply : HD-Plex 400W with Alienware 330w external power brick CPU Cooler: Cryorig C7-CU Mods: delidded CPU, liquid metal on CPU die and copper IHS mod P.S - You can totally tell I've owned a 240 by using ZIP ties on the cpu cooler fan. P.S.S - n00b discovery but I've discovered that running raid 0 for NVME on a z370 chipset is useless because maximum available # of PCI channels on the 8700 i7 chip Max # of PCI Express Lanes 16 |

I watched the keyneote. Radeon 7 is a direct competitor to the 1080ti/2080.

I saw that meme. It was wrong because both g sync and free sync are adaptive sync technologies. G sync came out first then free sync.
It’s easy to see why Nvidia is now supporting free sync. Nvidia cards will soon do freesync but Radeon cards cannot do gysnc. A 2080 with a cheaper freesync monitor is a great choice vs a lower performing Vega 64 just to get adaptive sync.

soooooo basically youre saying nvidia is now using freesync. like in the pass I posted. it had the ability to dynamic rr without gsync hw. without its its basically freesync.
lets get it straight. Quote:
freesync > gsync = freesync won jim also predicted it. its a good move by nvidia finally. but that meme is correct. there's also a negative side effect "gsync" aka freesync certified monitors prices will be jacked up. we know how greedvdia works. |

Throw enough shit on a wall and some will stick. He makes tons of rumor videos and has a self acknowledged bias towards AMD.
Nvidia is now supporting VESA Adaptive-Sync, not Freesync. Freesync is AMD's implementation of Adaptive-Sync on their GPUs. Monitor manufactures slap Freesync compatible on their Adaptive-Sync monitors because they can. It's a free checkbox/line item on their product. Nvidia should have supported VESA Adaptive-Sync when it came out. I can understand their reasoning because there are some bad VRR monitors out there. But, that is for the consumer to decide. I personally don't care because I have never had a need for VRR.

just basics that hes currently learning in his computer lab/ coding class. not that i know of, kinda just a spur of the moment since he's starting to show interest in it and a large group of his friends have moved away from console to PC. Quote:
kids got a 55'' inch 4k capable t.v. figured monitor wise he can still use that and save me on cost for that. ive always seen PC's as a great gaming system that at the time when i was active i couldn't afford. im tryin to see if this may peak his interest and since i can support a positive hobby i dont mind it.
