Well this is the engine tech section. Meant for diag really. If you're looking to sell there is a section under marketplace for this.

Ah. I'll have to find it tonight then. This forum isn't very easy to navigate. There should be a welcome video or something for new members

Angry

well since i can't post in the for sale area for some reason then i don't know what i'm supposed to do. i just want to sell my motor and trans, im sure someone on here would want it. why is it so difficult to post a dang ad. craigslist gets me nothing but kids with civics they want to trade or people with no money wanting me to give it away, and the famous zilvia forum is complicated as hell. i can't even correct my mistake of posting in the wrong section because there's no way to delete the thread i guess... uggghhh

A complete S13 sr20det engine, running from a car in Japan runs $1200~

by the time it gets to america with 59 of its brothers and sisters, the price is right at $1600 for a complete, running engine with 50-100k. (cost, not retail) including all electronics and sensors

Your price is almost double what someone would expect to pay for a bucket of parts from 1992~ era, especially for a block with unknown machine work done to it. And having one rebuilt lowers its value even further, since there are very few rebuilt sr20det engines that last very long, it is unlikely you have a motor which will go very many miles.

Because this is a community, and unless you are part of the community for some time, you can't put ads. This is a trust issue, we don't know you. Nothing complicated there.

While your engine might be interesting, a rebuilt engine without receipts from a known builder is only worth its weight in metal.

You should probably familiarize yourself with the forum very well before posting. While some are nice like me there are those who will tear you a new one for doing something wrong or asking a question that has been answered. Even if that answer is 100 pages deep in a previous thread. Bottom line is, respect the rules and guidelines and you will have no problem here.
