Exclamation s14 Tranny/linkage problems

To start, I have a 95 s14 5spd. So I let my friend take it to the store the other day (huge mistake) and he managed to somehow eff up something involving the tranny. So reverse was already a little wonky, you have to roll to get it into gear, but never had any real issues with that. So I go to get into the car to leave and the shifter practically falls into reverse, weird. So i let off on the clutch and the car goes nowhere. Try all the gears and the car goes nowhere. I put it into neutral, car dies like its in gear. Also, without pressing in the clutch I can slide into any gear like butter.

Dude says he stalled it trying to get into reverse a few times, and only grind into gear one time...

So...is it the linkage or what the eff happened? I have searched but am not too hip on transmission issues..

tl;dr roommate raped my car with his awesome 5spd skillz

if you dont press on the clutch while sliding into any gear, was the motor on? If it slides into any gear like butter without having to push in the clutch while you ahve your car running, then i'd suggest you just get a new tranny LOL...
