How much ATF fluid will I need to flush/fill the power steering system? Also, is it ok to use DEX VI or should I stick with DEX III?

1 qt is usually plenty, stick with Dex III since that's what the FSM calls for.

Is there any cheap alternatives for r32 GTR rotors out there? I would’ve hoped that with R32s being available for a few years that there would’ve been domestic company offering something far cheaper than OEM($300) or DBA($400+). It kinda sucks that Z32 rotors are less than $100 but R32s are more than double.

Look into Mitsubishi 3000GT. 91-93 VR4 are 295x30mm.

89-93 R32 GTR are 296x32mm the 1mm x 2mm difference is fuck all. You'll get 1mm overhang on the pad since the rotor is a hair smaller. The 2mm width difference can be absorbed by the pads/pistons. But might be worth it price difference wise...

Thanks for the heads up.

Are the rotor hats the same offset?

Ill fitting parts is the dumbest shit I have ever seen posted here. That overhang will wear down to a point then waste the entire pad faster than normal...
Got use photos to prove this wrong, Jefro, I'll wait. Would you run a clutch on a flywheel with a fuck all bit of pad overhang?

Pay for the legit parts or sell the car. Or, maybe look into Z33 swapping parts or S13/S14 swapping parts which is a better idea than using ill fitting parts

It's funny how people choose to interpret the answer to a question as a recommendation... He simply asked if anyone found a cheaper alternative. I posted the only thing close to size I knew of. Clearly gave the info and said "it may be worth it depending on price". Which is a decision for him to make based on the rotor differences vs price.

And honestly. You've never seen a set of aftermarket pads slightly overhang on a set of rotors? It is quite common...

And it would be pretty hard to run a clutch with a bit of overhang on a flywheel considering the pressure plate wouldn't bolt up

All threads were heavy with anti seize. Fuck your spray. Anti Seize, that silver colored goopy stuff, man, it works great. If I spray anything, I grab the orange can of KROIL(ALL other suck, FTW!).

Did Nissan make access holes in the trunk to the two differential bolts holding the face of the diff to the subframe? The space there is really tight.

^^ No holes that I know of, but you should be able to access them just fine. Unless you have subframe raisers, then maybe you'll need a swivel joint/socket.

s13 sr harness plugs

I'm trying to wire my s13 sr20det into my 91 240sx hatch enough to start, and don't wanna fry my ECU. The 02 wire plugs in, but doesn't match the https://frsport.com/SR20DET-Swap-Eng...SR20_t_26.html

this is a picture of my 02 sensor https://photos.app.goo.gl/NKQrX296rqSuerJY9

I know I don't need my water temp plugged in to start, but I'm not sure why the sub harness plug doesn't fit. I tried to include the wire colors in my picture https://photos.app.goo.gl/2j2ZNFsYESX48c9T8

Headers for KA24DE

Hello guys,

I'm a new member here and I was just wondering what brand of headers would you guys recommend that is California legal and will pass smog. I've been looking online and I can't seem to find any that is compliant with the rules. Do you guys know any of any places that have headers that have the EO# (sticker)? I have a 1993 S13 240sx if that helps, thanks!

on an OBD1 car, a header shouldnt matter as long as you still have your EGR hooked up along with your primary catalytic converter and O2 sensor. basically OBD1 cars are require to pass visual inspection along with a sniffer test. if ALL emissions parts are in place and the car passes the sniffer test, then there should be no reason for it to fail... aftermarket header or not.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! Btw I love your work! Would it matter if I'm no longer using my stock catalytic converter anymore? I recently bought a ER Magnaflow Catalytic converter :O

did you buy the cat in state? catalytic converters are usually only 49 state legal... in the state of CA, you have to buy in in state for it to be legal for smogging.

As long as everything is present, cat cover, all the things like that, no one really gives more than a cursory look.
The OBX Racing header can be had for way cheap on Amazon direct from OBXR's page. Buy the header with prime, apply for the $50 gift card from Amazon Credit Card, apply the $50 to the header, in 30 days, cancel the card. If you run a 2.5" system, instead of the Enjuku 3", a Vibrant muffler sounds great with it(I have Megan 'Test' pipe though becuase Tennessee)

There’s a chance that the magnaflow catalytic converter I bought was okay because I just got the confirmation that enjukuracing just shipped out to me! If it were illegal wouldn’t they not ship out to me? Because I do see a law stating that it is illegal to sell non-califnornia legal products to anyone living in California.

I just checked on amazon and it looks like there is a possibility that the OBX headers are illegal down here because all the listings on the site say they cannot ship out to my location. So is that another way to check if a specific product is illegal in CA? If they aren’t willing to ship out to you?

If they're in Florida, then I doubt they know or care about CA laws. "But they shipped it to me" is probably the worst way to assume something is street legal.

It might pass a visual inspection though. As long as it bolts on, and has a heat shield, it probably looks close enough to stock. I know my catco one looks practically stock, just it's 3".

The stuff from Magnaflow is 50 state legal. I just replaced a Y pipe w/cats on my Dodge Dak, and the tags were all 50 State legal. Magnaflow makes their stuff 50 State, not 49.
Header to ship to you?(If you use a mock up heat shield, no one sees 'header'
The ISR header at Enjuku is a direct copy of the old Hot Shot/OBXR version. It even has the EGR port. Who cares if it says off road only? They pass here in Nashville(Who has 49/50 state smog laws and testing).

|The trick is how you present it. It has to look and appear OE. OE uses SHIELDS, mod that heat shield to cover the header, make sure the magnaflow cat has the OE cover on it then go to a pep boys and look for the youngest kid there to run the test
