RB25det GURUS HELP!!
I have been searching for a while already with no luck. I'm building a rb25det neo. I'm reusing the stock piston. I know that this pistons head are different from rb26 and r33 rb25 but my questions is! Can I use r33 rb25det rings in the NEOs pistons? I already bought a set of r33s a few months back without knowing the r34 where "different". I was planning to use them anyways so I grind the rings to the correct gap and install on the piston (pistons are not install on the cylinder yet) everything seem to be fine but I don't want to mess it up! Have someone done this before.
Any advise is welcome Thanks |

If you have the old rings, you should compare the new rings to them. Bore is the same, so as long as the rings sit properly in the bore, can be gapped properly and they fit in the pistons then I don't see why not.

I ordered a set of neo ring and they are different!!! Well only the first ring is different. So rb25det r33 ring are not compatible with r34 rb25det neo pistons.
