Z32 maf, researched already but need quick clarification *

i have been doing a lot of research and searching but i still need help to clear this up

from the diagrams i read it does note seem and my z32 maf was previously wired correctly

the more i look at it the more i believe that my white and orange wire need to be separated for proper install

So my wires are (R-L); open, black w/white stripe, orange, black, white, open
and currently the B and D wires are connected.

if possible help me figure this out so i can wire my maf, thx

some one correct me if i am wrong; the orange (D) MUST be disconnected from (B) and grounded w/harness.

thats the same conclusion I've come to but need a second,

some one second my conclusion

Wiring Chart for those with stock Z32 connector:

Z32 MAF Pin - SR20DET Stock Engine Harness

Pin B - White Wire (MAF Signal)

Pin C - Chassis Ground (Connect this to any ground on the chassis)

Pin D - Black Wire (Harness Ground)

Pin E - Black/White Wire (Power)

What you have is correct from what you just wrote. Nothing is supposed to be spliced together...

Doesnt matter. J30 still came with the VG30DE so they use the same N62 sensor as the Z32

they the wire the exact same???

from the research i am told to split B and D, white and organge

but on other forms some are saying to leave the wiring as is becuase the one will connect directly to the harness ground and all will be ok

just need a second opinion

??? SPLICE white and orange...... Or leave them connected???

If you have the time and to avoid cutting and splicing, just re-pin the pigtails. Take your SR pigtail and disconnect the pins(white, black,black/white) and disconnect the pins from the Z32 pigtail and write down which letter each wire was associated with on your Z32 pigtail and reconnect your SR wires into the Z32 pigtail and you have a clean install.
