thats cool and all, but they normally only go for like $40-50 for oem ones. other than being new, what are the advantages of this part vs. an oem s14/15 water neck?

Oem S14/S15's sell for $69.99 new, same price as the Isis Performance water necks. Isis Performance water necks have a 1/8th npt coolant temp sensor port. OEM does not.

Correct. Sensor port, port for coolant return, and bleeder.

of course i just bought temp sensor adapter and cut my upper radiator hose in half... UGH!!!

i think i might buy one of these in the next month or so and replace the upper hose in my engine bay with a black samco hose. OE sleeper look FTW

Are the sensor readings accurate with the port directly in the water neck? Just wondering if having a temp sensor so close to the engine would cause the sensor to read a little bit higher

No, this is the end where hot coolant comes out of the engine, which is why the part is called an Outlet. And yes, the temp would read higher then where the OEM sensor is.
