Great build man, its really nice to see ingenuity going into a build rather than the same old bolt on's. Cudos to you and your pops.
That wing is gangter btw, I've always wanted to make something along those line for my hatch

I'd like to do a LS swap in my fastback. They look sweet and turn heads with the sound they make. The only thing I do'nt like is the steering pump that GM uses. It looks like the same one they have been useing since the 60's. I'm sure someone could fab up a braket to use a Nissan pump.

ill snap a few close ups tomorrow. we used plexiglass for the covers but of course they cracked so i need to go pick up some lexan to finish the buckets. also need to order another set of lights. there will be two in each bucket. the holidays has had me put buying stuff for the car on hold at the moment. i hope right after christmas to have more progress

I got a few questions. What did you use for a tube bender, also would it be in the best interest for someone doing this swap to do a tube front end for more room to drop the motor in with ease? Is the bolt on tube front end XDC and Formula D legal? Anyone know how hard it is to drop in a ls with the stock rad support? Looks awesome. If you don't mind how much did you pay for the silky stuff through that other guy?

Thanks

How's the car running? Love this thread. Have you had any issues with leaving the front wheel well areas exposed? Looks awesome open...

Motor runs like a champ, but i killed 3rd gear a couple weeks ago at a local event. So thats going to need a rebuild shortly, but money is tight at the moment. We have a baby girl on the way due at the end of March.

Bert did move to Canada but is back down here for a little while.

the car needs some suspension and steering tweaking plus the powersteering pump cries like a baby. works just makes noise.

here are a couple vids of the car running. along with some South Florida drift action!

Drift Sessions - Skidpad Runs 04 - 09/08/12 - YouTube

Rodd Becker - The Come Back (Teaser) on Vimeo
https://vimeo.com/53028404

the event i ruined 3rd gear at a 3rd gear track and trying to drive it in 2nd with this motor is a no go.
