S14 rear subframe into S13

Alright before anyone tells me to use google because i know this has been discussed many times, I have. So I am under the impression that i can just swap the whole rear subframe out with the adapter bushings. The subframe that I am swapping in is complete with all S14 arms, uprights, diff, axles, hubs. I have a few questions:

1. how will my S13 dampers work in this situation. I have read that there is a length issue with using S13 dampers on an S14, but cant really find anything about a subframe swap. It may just be because of the body mount is higher on S14?

2. Is the geometry of the S13 and S14 uprights the same? Does this come into play for the length of dampers?

3. Will I require a different driveshaft for the S14 diff? I dont know if it had abs or not, but i do know it was 5 lug so SE.

Please enlighten me
Thank you

you suck at searching fyi

for being a member since 2006 thats even more concerning. Being 34 and not being able to find this info from googling is pretty damn concerning.

Spoon feeding you here. S13 dampers will work the same. Use the spindles from an s13 s14 spindle shock mount is to severe

Use the same driveshaft

You are enlightened.

must use s14 lca s14 toe arm. Good luck squeezing it in with stock bushings in place.

This is why zilvia is slowly dying. People ask a question and gets bashed for not searching. Some people search and come up with threads with linking threads that have since then been deleted. Quit bullying the people away

wouldn't it be better if you clicked the search button, and it came up with only a few threads that directly answer your question?

instead, we find 3759487 threads asking the same questions, and it makes it impossible to find the threads that actually have the answers, and then people just post ANOTHER thread asking the same question. when people don't follow the rules, it makes this site damn near impossible to get any valid information out of.

BUT, if the op had done an even HALFWAY thorough job of searching, he would have found the info he was looking for.

this is one of the FIRST few threads that comes up

here is your fucking spoonfeeding, you whiny bunch of lames

The geometry is the same.

The diff is a separate issue from the subframe which is why it doesn't come up. Usually people bothering with s14 subframe swap aren't bothering with a vlsd and already have a cool diff -- at least an s15 torsen if not OSG, etc. If it's an ABS diff then it's not going to work with your driveshaft. More vlsd info here: http://www.ka24development.com/vlsd.html

The toe arms are actually the same length, but the width of the subframe-side bracket is wider on the s14. Depending on which aftermarket toe arm you're using you can buy the conical spacer pieces for an s14 and just swap out your s13 ones.

If you're going to the trouble of s14 subframe, you should probably consider swapping to z32 aluminum uprights. You'll need a different lower shock mount for your coilover but it's a simple/cheap way to cut a decent amount of unsprung weight.

Thanks. I think I have it all figured out. Just need to weld in some exhaust hanger mounts and get the conversion bushings and should be good to go. For what I paid this was much much more cost effective than cleaning and setting mine up which is why I even considered it.
