Running issues!!!! 93 s13

I left my car outside without a hood and it rained pretty hard. I started the car right up and it immediately died. I could crank away for days and it would turn over fine, but wouldn't run.

I went to autozone and grabbed new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and coil. Car fires right up, idle is great but it sputters and if I WOT it bogs down and will die.

I have a MSD box installed along with the msd coil. Any words of advice???

ALSO- I read online the temp sensor that sends the signal to the ECU can cause these issues. I remembered my check engine light would come on if you wiggle that wire. Could this be related??

EDIT- FYI I did check for spark before the coil, after the coil and after the distributor. All of which have spark. We are going to bypass my MSD box and see if maybe the box is the culprit of a weak spark maybe? These things are damn near weather proof though.

I'm sure something is still wet. Leave the car on for an hour or so to get the engine bay nice and hot to boil off any water left. Otherwise get a factory service manual for s13 online for free and follow the diagnostics procedures.

I would unplug the MAF sensor first and see it there is a difference. Car should idle and run w/o a MAF, but will breakup after 3k...

If disconnecting it doesn't change anything, then proceed to your TPS sensor, you should be able to unplug it too and the car should idle, like the timing procedures

Still nothing? My guess...FPR took a shit on you

EDIT: just noticed you said it bogs down but idles...the CTS could indeed be bad, or you may have a vacuum leak ...

unplugged MAF car did change in idle so its working correctly I believe. I also did the tps sensor and I hear change in idle as well. Highly doubt its a vacuum leak because the car ran perfectly before the hard rain.

EDIT- the car has been sitting in the sun for 3 days now. I could see there being condensation but I don't think anything is still WET

Ok so I finally got the car running again. I didn't get a new distributor but I did decide to take it out and check it. Upon pulling out I noticed the shaft doesn't line up with the dot. ( I was told the line on the shaft and dot on the distributor need to be lined up when inserted into the car. Is this true? I put it closer to where I was told and the car started finally. Now my issue is when I give it WOT it wants to bog out but if I gradually gas it up to 6k its fine. What could this be? My idle is fine, starts with no issues. I am leaning towards the temp sending unit is getting a bad reading and dumping a ton of fuel cause I have horrible milage right now, I smell a shit load of gas and also get black smoke sometimes out the exhaust. That or TPS? Input would be great, thanks.
