Another one bites the dust, local finally shit the bed. Young kid that goes to our meets, maybe 16-20, just started drifting a couple months ago. Kouki was probably the cleanest/stock/unmolested one ive seen in ages. Every time I saw it I was just thinking, please dont slide it... dont wreck this beauty..

Not sure on what happened but all these newbies lately down here have just been eating curbs lol

Also more DIW, is a local hype beast with a Gen coupe. Throws the most fucked "events" just people acting like typical hype beast you see on social media for the culture doing just burnouts, says they "drift". The spot is well know drifting spot by some older guys and one of the new kids thought it be cool to share it with this crowd...

For what it's worth, Japan isn't what it seems to be on all the blogs. My friend and I went to an event held by SuperStreet and we were amazed at the lack of quality cars. He's been here for 17 years. It's a generation thing: fads and shortcuts are plaguing the 'scene' everywhere. Even trips to Daikoku PA are hit and miss. It's either badass car after badass car or a shit show.

Fads and shortcuts aren't the issue (well, not this issue). People doing burnouts, attempting to drift, generally acting like an asshat, that kind of thing kills it for everyone who's trying to chill with other car folks. I'd much rather see a riced out car than some idiot doing donuts into a light post.
