But yeah. Haggard Garage. Is this the turning point the S-Chassis is dead due to the fact that it got mainstream now? Everyone buying ISR/Godshit/Megan Racing/eBay parts and don't know or care to remember the real manufacturers now. Back in the day, it was cool to be able to work for and use legit Japan parts.

Even browsing Yahoo Auctions Japan makes me sad to see SICKSPEED plastered all over with their Taiwan garbage.

My prediction in the next year or so 240s will die out when the fad dies out. I feel the next car to take the beating is the z chassis, miatas are slowing taking it as well. I already see it happening locally. A stock 350z to beat will be more reliable than picking a shit box for 3k and putting in another 3-4k.

I've noticed less and less clean 240s in my local area. Now its all the shit boxes getting passed around and only super noobs pick them up try to get into drifting. Everyone who has a clean build is keeping good care of it.

I have an old friend hit me up, he is into the whole cambergang hardparked scene. Had a bagged GTI with just some general VSKFs. Sold it and now has a gs300, wrapped, slammed on some vordovens. He just recent bought a hatch not running and checked it out. Noticed the tank was rusted, fuel pump filter is brittle/cracked open, its auto single jingle, rust, body is shot, 25 year old suspension, had no oil...

First thing he tells me hes going to do a 1jz swap. Literally thought it was cheap. Told me "I can get a motor for like 1.2k and a 350z tran is 500ish, its not that much. After that I broke it down an actual swap for 7k and he stopped bringing it up lol. You got to pay to play boi. Good thing he picked it up for 400.

I just stumbled on this gem on CL myself, wanted to post it up but I see that someone found it before I did. This car made me puke a little in so many ways.
Molded in flares on overs, just say you smashed a quarter and didn't want to spend the money on sheet metal, then to make it that wide and only fit 305's, can't a stock s14 with a little roll and pull nearly fit that.
"No stone unturned" "professional build" I see where he left a jagged, rusty hole where the battery box used to sit, didn't bother to make a ridgid intake to the engine, doesn't look lie he replaced any hoses and used no thought process to the routing of lines, seems legit.
Can't hate the guy for trying, but if I wanted to be a professional I would atleast look at some of the cleaner builds on here before using superlatives to describe that car. I guess if he ever gets 25k out of that the nicer cars on here must be worth atleast 50k.

It would have worked if he was styling it oldschool like that but he went newschool. It does look out of place despite the style roots.
