UAC is now offering spoilers to add to our aero parts lineup. Spoilers not only add some curb appeal to the back of a car but also serve a greater purpose. Functionally they help reduce drag by changing the way air moves over the car. Most cars have a problem with air trying to separate away from the body at the back edge of the roof. One would think that a hatchback design would help with this but in reality it actually makes it even worse causing the air to separate even farther up. This matters because where the air separates can dramatically change the size of the hole a car punches in the wind as it's going down the road. So by adding a spoiler this changes the airflow to a more favorable pattern. It makes the air sick to the back half of the car better and brake more cleanly from the vehicle resulting in a smaller hole in the wind.

UAC's sheet metal spoiler is made from lightweight but strong 16 gauge aluminum and adds some aggressive styling to any project. Functionally they serve the purpose of reducing drag helping the car slip through the wind more efficiently. Each spoiler is handcrafted and test fitted to ensure proper fitment. They are then finished with a protective black coating and are ready for installation right out of the box. The spoiler attaches securely to the back edge of the hatchback with aluminum rive-nuts and all stainless steel hardware. The center is reinforced with stainless upright supports which bolt into the hatch and the spoiler itself. Both uprights and hardware are included with the purchase of a spoiler.
