not a big deal. you can unplug the sensor if you are worried about it. engine will run fine as long as you dont have any boost leaks.

This is completely accurate. The maf sensor does a great job by itself without closed loop.

I don't even run a narrowband in any of my engine swaps. I've tuned over a hundred cars with no narrowband.
They are actually more suited for sheep to drive the car, and not worry about the a/f ratio.
