Nothing on NICO is informative unless you want to know how to spin your tires with the ebrake on in your dad's Monte Carlo.

Any DOHC KA with the SCVs fitted used the 240/248 cams, whether the FSM or other manuals state differently. The change over in mid 93 to eliminate the SCVs also warranted the 232/232 cams for more 'midrange' power. Although on a graph there's very little gain anywhere, the SCVs served the purpose that the milder cams do. I've taken apart literally dozens of KAs from all years and spec'd them all as I did, it's not rocket science.

SCVs = 240/248
no SCVs = 232/232
