The rattle can was all Rustoleum product. We used their red primer, followed by the "Gold Metallic" paint, and topped with their "Crystal Clear". The gold is a really transparent color so it's best laid down over a darker base coat. It took us almost 15 cans to get that much gold/metallic shine out of it. I would suggest trying it over a black primer if you're gonna give it a shot.

The skidplate is just to protect the oil pan and front subframe/crossmember from any offtrack excursions I might have. Some tracks have some gnarly drop-offs from the track to the grass/rumble strips haha, just trying to keep things safe!
