Registration of a shell then with an "illegal motorswap" aside.
Usually shells are hood rat as fuck. Now if you find a clean shell with a blown motor, that would be more your speed. For some reason, 240 owners think you need to tune the shit out of the chassis and in doing so ALWAYS dick up wiring or something painful like that.
As far as an sr20det, do more research. $2k for the motor another $500 for installing it yourself and you just pray that the motor is 100% perfect.
I'd look into atleast a minor overhaul of the motor, dont worry about a FMIC and install.
GL man, you need to research and write out costs. Motor swap will nickle and dime you to death.
