For a few reasons:
-I was advised to take the Ohlins over Konis any day by two guys I know who work for Penske.
-Last season's SMF winner drove my car with the 8611's and an Evo with PCV Ohlins like these and said they were comparable.
-I can get the Ohlins rebuilt very cheap.
-I was given enough cash on top to pay for most of the Geomaster setup.
-The fork mount that the Konis need to retain access to the compression adjustment in the rear does not work with the various roll center corrected rear uprights like the Geomasters.
-If I don't like them, I can make money selling them.
Basically I think Ohlins + Geomasters is better than Koni + some hacked up geometry corrections.
