The only thing that sketches me out is the flywheel spacer, I guess I just see it as having a ton of potential to become unbalanced which could lead to some very bad things.

I think the market extends beyond the Z32 crowd. Lots of people are swapping the truck LS motors (LM7/LQ4) because you can pick one up for a few hundred bucks.
Being able to get a manual behind it for less then $8-900 would be a huge boom.
