No I was not aware that some of the dust shield had to be grinded down. I asked the rep if there was any modifications necessary to make this work and I was told it's a direct fitment, no modifications. My bud who put the flywheel/plate/clutch together also didn't mention any problems getting it in.
This problem is absolutely weird man. At idle, I don't hear nothing abnormal besides of course everything moving and spinning.
Once I hit 2900-3000RPMs and above it grinds (like I mention, a metal shaving kind of sound) and hard to shift. Anything below, shift like a brand new system. After I get off work, I'm going back up to the shop and get under the car and see what's up. I'm going to have my bud probably make adjustments to it first. Start with the small problems first and if that doesn't work, maybe take it back apart and inspect dust shield this time while I'm there. This problem is weird and driving me crazy.
