Will you agree that a wall will make it tremendously more difficult for people to cross (even if there were ladders available) compared to crossing with no wall in place? I would bet that it would take much more effort and time for 100 people to scale a wall (with ladders) than it would for them to walk 10 feet.
Walls are not some kind of new, untested technology lol
