Although you might not have a check engine light, read the codes that might be on your ECU. Take off the passenger kick panel, unbolt the ECU, and turn the car to the ON position. Using a flathead screwdriver, spin the knob on the back of the ECU fully clockwise, then counterclockwise back to it's original position. The LED will flash two numbers. The first number is given in slow blinks, the second in fast blinks.

You can then google the codes. To reset the ECU, turn the car on then from the ON position. Be careful and make sure you've discharged yourself before touching the ECU, static electricity can burn up circuits. Good luck!


I'm leaning towards MAF is going out but it could easily be a vacuum leak, likely a large one on that. You can test that with a vacuum or boost gauge.
