I would look for an independent vacuum source for your map sensor. Also th map sensor should be as close as possible to plenum. The vacuum line should be 12 inches or less for best performance. I would look around for little capped off or plugged holes already drilled.

If you have to drill an tap a hole for a new nipple. The best way to do it is. Remove the throttle body. Insert a vacuum and turn it on. Drill the hole very slow and then tap with the vacuum on! in order to suck up all shavings inside the intake. Put the new nipple in, you can seal it with plumbers tape or lock tight. Once it is in you can take out the vacuum and put the throttle body back on. Now you have a new vacuum source for your map sensor.
