I have a SILVIA hood that has been lightened significantly, I am selling it because I got a new CF hood, please let me know.

you cut all the hood reinforcements out? just wondering, do you have the weight before and after?

I would have to say it's about half the weight from before. Did not measure it though. pretty good with guessing weights used to lift a lot.

I am just going to lock the price in at 85 bucks for anyone who wants this bad boy.

I did check it when I went by my house, the stripped hood is almost the same weight as the new VIS hood I bought

They made the re-enforcement skeleton for a reason.
Now it's a huge piece of sheet metal.

Carbon/fiberglass hoods are flimsy too, and they don't look as smooth!

Took the car up to 140+ no movement even without hood pins (top of 4th gear at 8100 rpm with 500 brake hp and 4.08 final)

The way I see it I did the work for you. I don't put my name on rickety shit, I test everything first. It is flimsy when it's propped up but not as flimsy as the FPR or fiberglass hoods I have seen.

Throw some pins on it if your worried. Still stronger by a large measure than any CF or Fiberglass hood by weight. Make it 80 even so you can put 5 dollars through some 15 dollar standard hood pins. , but I'm not going lower.
