hey

I dropped off a check to him last Sunday.
I am not gonna add wood to the fire because I usually give people the benefit of the doubt..

He lives in New Tampa just past County line(off Bruce B Downs). There is a Publix near his neighborhood.

The Wesley Chapel address is legit.

He is about 6'2 and 250lbs. I'd guess he is oriental(jap/chin/korean????)

He was nice to me when I spoke with him,,,and thats all really I can say. Paid him 490 by check.

I was involved in the groupbuy from clubsi.com

here is more info

Here is the email he sent out to the people involved with the clubsi groupbuy(I can also forward this to your email if you want, just email me):

First off, I want to thank everyone for the interest in this Groupbuy. Here are the information everyone needs in order to complete the purchase. I will periodically update this mailing list with any new information until all outstanding orders are complete.

We were able to meet the number needed in order to commence with the Koni Groupbuy; however, we were unable to reach the desired number of people for the Eibach Special.

This is to clarify that this is a real Groupbuy. The definition of a real Groupbuy, simply is that I am ONLY able to offer the products at this price if I have 10 or more orders. Hence, why I stressed in the original thread the importance of only confirming if you were 100% sure of the purchase.

With this in mind, orders will be made once the 10th payment is received. As of right now, I have already received 3 payments, leaving 7 before the order's placed. The faster everyone's able to submit the payment, the faster everyone's able to have the products in hand. For those that have already paid and for those whom are 100% in on the buy, please motivate your fellow board members and lets make this Groupbuy as successful as possible.

There are 3 different level of this Groupbuy and due to the unsuccessful Eibach Special, some changes were made. Please read carefully and make your selection.

Groupbuy #1 -
For those that are only interested in purchasing a set of Koni's. As stated in the Groupbuy, the price is $490 shipped within the 48 continental states and $510 for Canada and surrounding areas.

Groupbuy #2 -
For those that are interested in both Koni's and also Eibach's. First off, I need to apologies that we were unable to reach the potential 10 buyers. For those that are still interested in purchasing a complete set of Koni's with Eibach's, this is my proposal to you. The $490 shipped for Koni's will of course stand, but here's the change to the Eibach Special. The original deal was 60% off the retail price without shipping. The very very best that I am able to do in this case will be 50% plus a $12 shipping charge. As most of you know, the retail price for most Honda kits are $299.99. So for most of you here, the final price will be $652.00 SHIPPED.

Groupbuy #3 -
For those that are only interested in purchasing Eibachs. As you have read, we did not reach the number needed to get the original offer of 50% off the retail plus $12 shipping. This is my proposal to those that are interested in Groupbuy 3. The very best I am able to do is 40% of the retail price with the $12 shipping charge. Again, for must Hondas, the price will be $192.00 SHIPPED.

I do need to add that I have tried my very best to give everyone the best possible deal I am able to offer. I can not lie and say that I am not making any money, but the truth is that I am. I am in route to start an import business in which I am able to offer these prices at all times. For what it worth, the truth is that I am not making enough for this be worthwhile. Once this Groupbuy's complete, for those that are satisfied with my service, please help me build up the reputation that every business needs on the net, that is what will make this Groupbuy worthwhile of my time.

Payment Information -
Following are forms of payments that will be accepted for this Groupbuy -

www.c2it.com (please add 2%)
Account Name - ian@lostprojects.com

I will also accept -
Money Order
Cashier's Check
Personal Check (I will need for the check to clear before shipping products out)

Please make checks out and send to -

Ian Hannigan
1846 Twisting Lane
Wesley Chapel, Florida 33543
(813)973-2340

Again, thank you to everyone that's made this Groupbuy possible. I am also able to get a wide range of parts, from dress-up to performance. Shoot me an e-mail, let me know what you need, give me a chance.

Thanks all.

Ian Hannigan

csingham- Does Ian even owe you any money? Because looking back I don't think he does. While I and the others who lost money can appreciate your concern, I can only speak for myself when I say that you should keep the threats to yourself or at least between you and Ian because I and hopefully others don't care to be associated with this kind of High School sh*t. We all got ourselves into this and if it matters enough to us we'll all do something about it, legally. I really don't mean anything against you I'm just tired of all these posts about it. If he owes any of you enough money that you feel you need to do something about it, then call the police dept closest to his house and file charges. Until then there isn't really alot to post about.

Maybe I should have been more clear. I don't like being associated with the threats. And unless you are a "big tobacco lawyer" who is going to get our money back you really don't have much to contribute. Somehow inviting someone to throw a brick through Ian's window doesn't seem very lawyer-like.
This is my last post about Ian or Lost Projects until I have something helpful to contribute.

Lightbulb NO FLAMES

I seen Ians email that Mugen-FOB left on the club si forums.
Here's what he says:

To All those that are involved-

I first have to start by saying that what you guys read are half the truth. I by all mean have messed up and screwed up pretty bad. I am not denying the fact that i would not truth myself if i were put into everyone else shoes. There's not much I can say that will matter much at this time. The only thing that I would like for everyone to know is that I did mess up, but I am trying my best to take care of all the problems. I messed up and messed up big, and it has been hard to do the right thing. I sold my project car a couple of month back in order to do the right thing and paid back a lot that's owed already. What's left, I am doing my best and fastest to take care off. I have another car that i am selling, which has been hard, because of some flames. I cannot blame anyone for flaming, it's all my own fault, if I did the right thing in the first place, all this would have not happened. I did not come into the business with the intention to scam anyone. I have personal problems, such as managing money and so fourth, which brought me to this state.

I cannot sit here and make promises, I cannot sit here and tell you guys that I am trying this and trying that. I can only tell you all that i have not disappeared. I remain at the same place where all the problems started. The only thing's changed is the business phone number I used to hae which I don't have anymore. Other then that, I have not moved, nor have i changed any of my contact information. It's taken sometime, but I am doing all that i can.

Hope this clears somethings up.

Ian

Yet i did talk the the Sheriff in Pasco county in the Fraud section and threw him all the information, i gave him all of my information, and he came up with nothing.

I'm waiting for some call backs too.
I do like how he changed his answering machine.
Tampa, and all subsidiaries of it (New Tampa, Carrollwood, ect) all are in Hillsborough (sp?) county, FL.
Also, I doubt that there is a legal issue going on with Ian, but what would be needed to prove a claim? I know that most of his deals went through well over a year ago. Do they expect us to keep records that long? What about the statute of limitations?
If something doesn't happen soon-ish, nothing is happening.

I'm fairly certain most people DO have records of what happened, even if it was over a year ago. I know I do. It's just like keeping your receipt to that ps2 you just bought.

The thing is that he didn't give receipts, that's why he's able to do all of this. That is how Rinku(can't remember his SN), explained to me. If i had an Invoice I could chase him, but all I have are emails that don't help.

Money order receipt, canceled check, paypal invoice... those should all work as receipts or at least prove that your money was taken.

Few things

1) Wesley Chapel is NOT in Hillsborough County. It is in PASCO County. Hillsborough County Sherriff's office wouldn't help much. My opinion
2) TPD (Tampa Police Department) is another choice or Pasco County Sheriff's office.
3) WHAT i told Andrew was it be easier to prove case with a receipt that has LOST PROJECTS (his company name/logo) written all over it, it be a in and out deal, compared to other forms of receipt like paypal where it will need to be verified which will take time and effort. A receipt is a must to prove that you are owed money. Whether a receipt from him, paypal, check, MO or whatever. Without the receipt i think it will be very hard to prove anything now that a lot of time has passed unless he confesses or something. Some of you may not have receipts or didn't get one, i don't know, but my point was that it is good to have if you were given one to prove your case easily.

to everyone talking about taking legal action- my advice is to do so immediatly. though it varies from state to state (and judge to judge) there is a statute of limitations on nearly all crimes and financial damages. Since most of your dispute amounts would fall under misdemeaner fraud (or interstate fraud, which is a federal charge and more severe) you need to talk to a lawyer, magistrate, or police officer asap. If you wait too long you are gonna be sol, legally speaking.
Also keep in mind, if he DOES NOT have the money to pay you back, and a court awards you monetary damages that he cannot pay, he could lessen that amount on appeal. If he still can't pay, all he has to do is not pay, they throw him in jail, and you, again, are sol.
In closing, IF YOU LOST MONEY TO THIS MAN CONTACT A LAWYER IMMEDIATLY! Do not wait for others to come forward. If you did or did not save emails, just contact someone as soon as you can, and tell them what happened, and they will tell you what you need to document.
that is my advice.

Did everybody get their money back?

If you didn't....contact Kacy McClelland krmcclelland@uspis.gov
(Postal inspector for the united states postal inspection service)

Right now Ian's on probation, give kacy your infomation so that he can give it to Ian's probation officer in an effort to get your money back.

Thanks,

Nope, I lost all contact with him and none of the #'s or email addresses I had work anymore. Sent an email to Kacy. I'd given up on getting my money back but maybe there's still hope.

Thanks
