No more 'Email for pics.'
If you have pics of the items you're selling, put them online and link to them or hotlink them in the thread.

If you don't have pics, don't worry about it.

If you do, put them online. I'm tired of seeing threads bumped ad inifinitum by people seekings pics of items. (like this: http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=102751 )

Don't complain to me that you don't have a program to resize or hosting, because I have your excuses handled.

Hey, is there a way to not let them hot link their pictures from other forums? It sucks that I have to click to 2-3 more forums just to see pictures.

good call. That annoys me too.
One thing that's definitely out (although it only occurs rarely) is when a user just puts a link to a thread on another forum. NOBODY is too lazy to not copy & paste. There's no excuse for it.

As for your suggestion, I'm behind it.

If you want to sell on Zilvia, host your images somewhere they can be hotlinked to or directly linked.
Attachments on other forums (especially those you must register to see) are not allowed henceforth.

why not just come up w/ a format of posting or a template so everything is in order..
it will make things neat and non confusing

What is the policy on putting prices on items for sale? Besides items up for sale with no pics, too many times I see items offered up for sale here with no price. If they want offers, they should post it on eBay. If they are fishing, let them charter a boat. If they are "testing the water", let them get a pH kit. But, don't let them post FOR SALE ads here without a price.

This also works because every item that is posted on that forum I get emailed to my sidekick and can delete the for sales as they are posted. It takes a lot of work.

I agree with the no picture no thread though.
