s13 Stupid Question?!?!?

Alright im trying to figure out what sensor controls my rpm gauge! all plugs are plugged in on back on cluster and and plugs are connected in engine bay. Can someone let me know please, i hate driving with out the rpm!!!!

the rpm sensor, in your gearbox. It (should) go from the gearbox to the ECU, then from the ECU to the rpm gauge. If the car is working properly, it means the signal does not go from ECU to rpm gauge, or your rpm gauge is busted.

Yeah i gotta check it out because i know the only sensors in ym tranny are the speed sensor, resvers switch sensor, and nuetral. Could it be the Crankshaft position sensor???

i dont think it would be the crankshaft sensor, can you just hook up to it and see what codes it throughs, that will give you some clarity. IDK about CA, but here in FL Advanced auto parts and auto zone will do it for free.

ECU is what send the RPM signal to the cluster... CAS is what send the speed signal to the ECU...
