s13 Gas gauge problem

i recently got a 93' s13. iv never owned a 40, always had a honda so its kinda new for me. i know alot of s13's have the same usual problems. well, one of my problems is the gas gauge. i can fill up my tank and it will go to F, but when i get down to a quarter of a tank it just drops to E. it actually might drop sooner, idk cuz i havnt even had it long enough to fill up the tank, that is just what i was told. anybody know what the problem is? gauge cluster maybe?

also, my temp gauge dosnt work, iv heard thats a common problem. any input? thanks.

cuz im not 100% sure when it drops. then i dont know how much gas i got. its really not that big of a deal, i was just wanting to see if it was an easy fix. buying a new gauge cluster obviously is.

Pop open your gas tank and check to see if your fuel level sensor is secured to the gas tank. It may be floating around the gas tank causing inaccurate readings. This was a problem I was having with my s14.
