So I travel up to 60+ miles some days and at least 30 miles to get to college everyday and been running the ka till gas light turns on. I hate to do that but have no money.

Usually takes a few cranks of starter to start up even with gas. Could this be ruining my pump and injectors?

If your fuel pump is scraping the bottom of the tank there is always a chance it will suck up some dirt. There is a filter on your pump and of course a separate fuel filter which are meant to take that garbage out before your injectors.
