Windsheld wiper is going crazy and wont stop

The topic pretty much explains what my problem is.

The only way for it to stop is if i turn off the car and then turn it back on. It only does it sometimes not all the time so what can it be?
oh yea i have an s13

Rear wiper?

One of the wires is most likely cut on the passenger side at the top of the hatch. Just fixed my cut wire a few weeks ago.

Three parts in the wiper system, switch, amp, and motor. Break out the FSM and trace signal from each, one of them is bad and feeding current when set to 'off'. My guess is the amp, it's typically the culprit.

Could be the autoreturn and stop feature. When you turn off the wipers, the wipers have a pin that shows ground when the wipers are away from base. The wiper amp moves the wipers until the wipers are back at base and then stops.

It looks like this pin is damaged or the circuit is shorted.

sorry for the shitty info.

its for the front wipers, i dont have back wipers. everytime i turn the switch on it turns on and then when i turn it off it goes on forever, but if it doesnt forever it will wipe for 3 more times and then turns off.

I had the same exact problem to the T lol. It started when my harness(DS fender) got cut open from not being relocated and my car being low. I fixed those wires and it fixed the problem.
