I'd be much more comfortable pounding it flat and welding a small piece of sheet metal over it to smooth it out (give the tire something non-destructive to rub against). That's a very important piece, structurally, and the stamped pieces that are spot welded together have all sorts of impurities between the sheets, so I've had a tough time getting good strong/clean welds in there.

well i decided im cutting my tubes this weekend will see how it turns out so do we just cut along the shock tower and then tube and thats it?

Same way they oem is .. All it is wiring won't be seen and I'm just going to cut a hole to were the intercooler piping will be.. So it will just look like only the motor is there
