ALT 75A Fuse Blows When Turning over in gear.

Have this strange problem, my ALT fuse, the main fuse for the car, keeps blowing. It happens every time I accidentally turn over the car in gear then press the clutch fast to stop it from driving forward.

So what Im doing is, turning the car over in gear, car jerks forward, then I rush to press the clutch because I forgot it was in gear. Then Boom the 75A fuse goes, $14 bucks gone.

This didnt happen a couple years back, now its doing it. Its fairly common to do this in a S13 cause theres no clutch switch. And I'm forgetful.

ANY HELP/SOLUTION would do... even if I have to add something to stop the fuse from getting tuned.

you sure you don't have an exposed wire somewhere that hits the chassis every time it "jerks forward in gear"?

Check all your harnes...under wheel well...?

I would also cancel the clutch switch...connect both wires...no need to press clutch to start car.

Wiretuck, but charging harness was left untouched. Anything starter related was not cut.

Car does not have a clutch switch, possibly a Canadian 240 thing... but s13's here start with no clutch.

Ya, pretty sure it's a Canadian thing. Hmmm... check your charging harness maybe?

Maybe you should put a switch on it or just remember to push in the clutch.

Solution: I had the Alternator source backwards with the starter source.
