I have a 89 240sx and i started getting this problem that all my lights in and outside the car flicker and on top off that my car was running fine until one day at a light it just turned off and would not turn on. Now it turns on when it wants to and boggs here and there with a rough idle. Has anyone had this problem??? i already tried cleaning the maf and tb, i have a couple added grounding points. what could it be? id really appreciate the help thanks

check all your grounds, battery, alternator and fuses..that'll probably solve the electric stuff.

Sounds like your alternator may be going bad.But as poster above said, check battery terminals,grounds and fuses as well. You can go to autozone and have the alternator tested for free as well.

thanks for the help turned out it was the alternator only now sometimes it hesitates to turn on ? and a rough idle any input on where i can start checking ...
