so i have a 91 s13 with the digital hud cluster. now the rpm, gas, temperature gauges work. the blinker lights work, and so does the gas light and door open and seatbelt light. now the speedo and hud dont work and the cluster doesnt light up either when i turn the lights on... need help as into what it can be.

your capacitor is blown... you need yo change it.... mine did the same , i changed the capacitor and works fine now...

i was told that but i just wanted to make sure because of the cluster not lighting up, so the capacitor functions the lights too?

yeah just change it, it cost 75 cents....

okay, my single cam has the exact problem. BUT when the cluster lights dont light up i have this gay limiter in 3rd 4th and 5th. anyone else have this problem?

ok well now im still going to change the capacitor but today i was driving and the speedo and hud came on but when i turn the lights on it turns off.

Which one is the capasitor? If I had it out when andy was around (he does the nistune installs) he could have most likely showed me but everything looked like a capasitor to me..... lol.

Im having the same problem btw.

Wow, thanks. I swear I have searched there and here and on 240sx forums and google and Ill I ever hear is talk about a capacitor but nothing that delivers like that writeup. Thank you so much!!!
