s13 jdm ca engine?

Hey I was wondering if anyone has ever bought an engine from osakajdmmotors.com and has anyone ever had a problem with their services or engines to say the least.

um yea godspeed are good but what is the price, becuase if they are up in prices you should look at teins or stance. as far as the ca engine i personally love them but i would also say that they are weak engines as far as they do break down, with there alum head. um have thought of a sr20 or just a ka build up. but that being said if u take care of a ca and give it a nice tune i promise u, that car will be one to remember. im sorry to hear about brother my thoughts and prayers are with u and ur family. much love

personally i would never buy a motor from a website again. around a year ago i bought an sr from jdmenginecorp.com and it was completly blown!! compression test results where as follows...75-25-50-70...there was a 90% leak on cylinder #2. lucally i got my money back, somehow. try to fing something local. at the very least, try to find a walk-in motor importer that is willing to ship a motor to you.

as for the goodspeed coilovers, i dont own them, but i do own a set of goodspeed swaybars. nice looking product on the showroom floor but the quality sucks! in only a few months the paint started to chip off and the bars where rusting badly. and i live in inland socal, my car doesn't know what snow or salted roads even are. I can only imagine the quality of their coilovers, i would consider them equal to the megans, but thats just my opinion.

They're not bad motors and Dalaz 68 is right about the swap ive already gone through 2 ca's and they were pretty fun and as for the osakajdmmotors i suggest you get a motor thats here in the US * I heard not so good things* im sure you could find a distributer close to you.

Hey... I live quite close to OsakaSkylines (same shop you're talking about)... If you want something good and reliable.. Don't buy there unless you've seen the engine in person and double checked it... Most JDM shops will rip you off anytime (except 1 or 2), you HAVE to be there in person.

There are about 10 different shops around here importing SR, CA, 1jz, 7mgte, 20b like crazy, all owned by Afghans (lol)... If you want a reliable place call places like JDM Racing Motors, or PM me... I can go take a look in person and negociate...

BTW... Prices that you see online are F*ckin ridiculous.. In person, it's a totally different story, way cheaper and they can't ship you their crap that local guys don't want to buy!

I bought my CA from JDMEngine Corp. and have zero problems out of it. Anytime you purchase an engine you should always compression and leak down test it immediately after receiving it. A buddy of mine did receive a SR from them that had 0 compression but they were more than willing to make up for it and he's had no problems since.

Ive heard BAAAAAAADDDDDDDDD news about osaka. When i first started into the 240 scene i found that place and bookmarked them for their low prices, but after talking to a friend and heard a couple other stories, they seemed horrible. They don't take back an engine with bad compression and if they do, they charge a 50% restocking fee on all engines. I personally wouldn't buy from a site, but there a much more reputable sites out there. Ive heard good things from Japanese Star Motor which is still around, but sadly many sites are dieing off from the economic decline. GL with the CA if you get it though
