hello im new to the forum so sorry if this sounds like newb questions well i just dropped in a sr20 red top into my 89 s13 coupe and my buddy said that i will need the following:

new fuel pump (walbro 255)
new water pump
nismo thermostat
power steering line from ka24de
the stock radiator fan is broke so should i get another oem fan or go with electric?

so i was just wondering what you're guys opinion was on this is he right or wrong? if he's right what brands should i be looking for when im searching for these parts? thank you for your time

unless you have the stock SR fuel pump (unlikely) yes you need a walbro fuel pump
new waterpump is basic maintanace While the engine was out I would have installed a new oil pump (but thats just me)

Nismo thermostat is a very nice addition I love mine, Just be sure to buy from a reputable place, NOT EBAY go here www.thenismoshop.com

Im guessing your car was a single cam? if so then yes you need the PS lines from a Dual cam to get you Power steering.

ppl say the clutch fan is the best and ONLY the SR clutch will work on it, I think the Fans are interchangable.
Its up to you for electric just be sure to wire it correctly with a Relay
