spedo el failo

my friends car is on like a speedo tripp right

its like this
vroooomm bummmmmm

like it hits limiter but thats not the issue the speedo will go on random hay wires like its retarded it will stay at the speed then fall then come back and fall again and when this happens his method of getting it back is to stab the brakes and it works and even if he stops for a good ten to fifteen mins

everything is hooked up and good to go just have no clue why it is doing this
any help would be appreciated

Thats just a simple short in the wiring you have. Check wires to the speed sensor as well as wires from the ECU... And learn to use periods man its very difficult to read what you wrote..

My speedo does the same thing. I baught a speed sensor at Autozone for around $72 yesterday. I'm gonna check the connections first and if that doesn't work I'm gonna put in that speed sensor. I'll let you know if that fixes the speedo.

I looked at the pinion gear and all the teeth were sharp.

All conections are good and the pinion looked fine. I intalled the new speed sensor and the problem is still not fixed.
Now I'm gonna try to use a different guage cluster to see if that fixes my spedo problem.
