KA24DE -Receiving Fuel Problem-

Hey all. Just got a wiring harness, wired everything up, tested it all, there's power going all over the place. Turns signals, Hazards, head lights, brakes, A/C-Heat, wipers, door chime Radio, gauge cluster seat belts. Its all works. Except for the fuel pump. All the fuses checked out fine and the relays are turning on.

We checked the wires to see if they have power and they do. But we don't hear it kicking on and the engine likes the yank dat cameltoe.

this is what we've come down to.

1. Bad Fuel Pump
2. Ecu not hooked up right (only hand tightened the bolt cause didn't have the right socket)
3. The wiring went bad to the pump.

checked all my connections that I had spliced and they are all good. Nice and tight, no revealing wires and nothing is touching.

What I'm really looking for is a Diagram of the Fuel Pump for the KA24DE. I have a FSM but I can't find an actual diagram anywhere. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much all!

I had this problem a while ago.

Turned out the ECU I had was bad.

Try checking your ECU.

Alright, well I was planning on checkin that out anyway. I'll take the ECU off and then tighten it up real good. Cause I'll have my tools with me this time.

Before I did all this wiring the fuel pump did kick on and the ECU was doin its job...

Anybody have any diagram of the actual fuel pump w/ sending unti? Thanks a bunch all.

i recently did a s14 ka obdII conversion into my s13 coupe (dont ask why). In doing so, i converted my s13 harness and ran it with the existing wires in the top of my fender well. Long story "short" (as in electrical)
my poor slammed coupe had the 18"s rub into the electrical and ended up stripping a few wires bare and shorted the system. all of my components tested ok with the exception of 1. The power out Fuel Pump Pin on the ECU. Until I buy another ECU or get mine fixed, I have jumped one of the relays in the engine compartment to ignition on/constant fuel pump power. I dont recommend this temp fix because the safety power on off feature from ecu has now been eliminated.
