I am not sure f there are too many laser enthusiasts on zilvia however I saw a large interest when I posted up some of my lasers for sale a few days back..

Post comments and pictures of your laser pointers..
and ask questions.


General info:
Lasers above 5mw are illegal to be sold as laser pointers or as toys.
FDA legal websites in the US have them available for a hefty price tag.
yet it is still possible to get them from various websites that sell them as such.
Also many US enthusiasts are learning to build their own lasers. Ill post up some pictures of them below:
Red
Green
Blue are the most popular colors,
green is the most visible to the human eye, yet it is also the most dangerous, and require Infrared filters to block the Ir light that is dangerous to our eyes.
blue lasers are more expensive but usually look the best.
red is a dark color so even though it is much cheaper than green and blue you need a high powered red to be as visible as a green
for example a 100mw green is fairly visible with a solid green beam.
you would need a 400mw red to be as bright s that green or a 500-600mw blue to match the brightness.



I have always been a big fan of lasers and remember my first red one back on 1997 you could barely see the dot..haha
nowadays the technology is so advanced lasers are up to 2000 times brighter.

my roomate has a green laser pointer,not sure on how powerful it is. But its rated at like 9000 feet or something ridiculous it is so much fun at outdoor partys and just general messing with people like shining it thru friends dorm windows and such. being able to see the beam is really cool

I don't want to sell lasers on this trhead, because it's not in the sale section.
I wanted mostly to see who is into this kind of stuff..
I have a few extra lasers I actually run a small laser company on the side..but I usually sell on Craigslist or Laserpointerforums.

I have a green one. I think its a 5mw. My best friend gave it to me for my birthday a few years ago. It goes for miles.
I screw with people in my neighborhood with it sometimes. Fire it up the street at foot level they seen it go by them and they are like wtf.

i have a couple 5mw green ones from dealextreme. one's a couple years old and the beam is getting more visible at night the more i use it.

pm me, where can i get a 200mw beastmode laser?

Just want to warn you guys against ordering lasers from websites like Dealextreme, Ecrater, ebay etc..
they straight up lie about their lasers, for example Ecrater shows a penstyle laser and advertises it as 800mw!!!

800mw will burn down your house!! and would need 2 18650batterys (which are huge)which push a shit load of energy, so of course a penstyle laser using to AAA's would never be able to pump out more than 120mw...

they know most customers dont know their lasers and they abuse and lie..false advertising.
If you guys are in the market for one, I can give you advice on where to get an actual good one, wether it be from me or from another "trusted" website.
or just send me a link to the laser you are thinking of getting and Ill give you advice on its quality..
