I used to think the same when my parents would eat it at like every meal but now that I am older it actually goes really good with certain foods. There are many different types of Kimchee, some better than others.

I was a hyper active child and was banned from drinking caffeinated soda.. One day (back in the early 80's) my dad was working out in the yard and I spied his 2 liter of coke that he had lost sight of. I thought I'd be slick and I burgled that shit,then took a swig of yummy coke that had my dads cigarette butts in it.. Dad saw me and just laughed.. Love that guy.

When I was in Japan I tried it as a snack form and hated it.

2 years ago tried it again thinking now that I'm older my taste buds would be different and since its good for you I might as well try to get used to it since my grandma cooks from time to time.
