there was a NH registered cossie like that up at limerock raceway. theyre still expensive used cars over there, so it wouldn't be as feasable as getting a 180sx here for a few grand and trying to registered it in lax states

Super rare to find one in the US, and if you do find one that is street able it will still run you well over 24k

ALot of them have been converted to Rally cars, so finding a streetable cossie is very difficult...

Man, that looks sooo much better than any fox body ever will. No matter what you do to them, fox bodies still always look cheap.

My boy had one. Nice and clean but then it was stolen about two weeks after purchase. Stripped to the bone.

To the guy who said the Monte Carlo SS looks ugly, you're trippin.

My Ford of choice would have to be the Marauder.
Decent performance, but too upright and boxy, still looks like a grandma's car. Impala SS looked better.

At the crank... Lucky to put down 150 on a dyno stock.

The heads suck. Replace the Heads, cam and intake and you can put down 350+ easy.

if you do get a vert. you must do subframe connectors or you will hate your life. i drive a 94 gt coupe. and even it was sloppy. then once i put the KW coilovers on it it dropped in the center over bumps. now that i have the connectors on though i must say that it handles pretty damn well. i just need a better wheel/tire fitment and i will be happy.

So a couple months ago I took my moms mustang to work while I was building my engine. Well I had my first experience with a flash flood. It was deeper in the middle of the street about 4 feet so I could not move the car. Well it had flood damage and the insurance just paid for everything. This all happen in about 15-20mins of rain. Lesson learned you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink.

You can lead a horse to water but it won't drown itself?

my friends dad is really into mustangs. i pulled up to his house on friday afternoon, his dad and brother were over shooting the shit. i snapped a pic because i thought it was cool.

LSB M3 is my friends, the E30 is my pile, and the 2 mustangs are his dads. the fox has a cammed 347 and put down 396 at the wheels. the mystik in the garage is built, has a kenne bell and a bottle of spray in the trunk. he'll prob buy another one next year. he's hooked.

oh, and someone mentioned an E30 getting better mileage. i pulled this out of my ass today driving home from cincinnati.

who would have thought an engine with half the displacement would manage better fuel economy

yeah, i usually get around 22 - 23 driving in the city and highway. if im really aggressive, i've seen less than 20. the car just clicked over 151k this weekend, i've never done any maintanence, and it burns a little bit of oil. the suspension is trashed, and im on oversized, jello-like snow tires. i was really happy when i saw the gauge stuck over 27mpg's for most of the trip. until i got into detroit ofcourse, i increased my speed 15mph. not too shabby for an old, tired single slammer straight 6.

If it makes you happy go with it. It seems every kind of car enthusiast bashes mustangs in some form or another but that's because most people see it as the "benchmark" for comparison. The aftermarket parts for these types of cars is tremendous so you can keep the car for 20 years and still be able to find parts for it.

Some of the people i've known most of my life went the Nissan "handling" route while others have gone the Mustang muscle car route and they are different experiences that some like and some don't.
